As a parent, I can only imagine the terror of continuing sleepless nights for the parents, spouses and children of the servicemen and women who are now in harm's way.

Our nightly television news constantly announces daily numbers of lives lost, while these young men and women are striving to serve their beloved country, for a cause many still do not comprehend.

To this day, parents of military men and women from all parts of the world, who learn their own have escaped harm, are now witnessing other parents suffering from the loss or extreme bodily harm of their grown children, generated by ongoing, horrific terrorism.

In the meantime, we're all waiting and praying the "Hammer" won't drop on our loved ones, wherever they may be.
